Saif Suman has been working as a theatre practitioner from the year 1995. He is one of the founder members of Anuswar- which is established in 2019. Previously he worked Theatre Art Unit from 1995 to 2019.
He accomplished an one year certificate course on theatre education from Abdulla Al Mamun Theatre School (8th Batch) in 1998.
He directed the play Mahashunye Cycle (2024), Najuk Maanusher Sanglap (2023), Raymangal (2022), Jadukar (2022), Jiban (2021), Hutash Maran (2021), Swapnabhuk (2021), Tinkari (2021), Raat Bhore Brishti (2019), Zara (Workshop production 2017), Jabar Ajob Valobasha (2017), Hottomalar Opare (2016), Na Manushi Jamin (2014), Magaj Samachar (2010), Buddhir Dheki (street play, 2009), Khwoar (street play, 2006), Openti Bioscope (workshop production, 2004).
He has been acting on stage since 1997, as well as writing the play.
He is one of the owners of a professional theatre troupe named Upstage.
In 2021, he published a drama book named Uponyas Theke Natok.
Besides theatre he has been working as a Film Maker. He had done a film appreciation course from Bangladesh Film Institute, also completed a film making course from Pathshala South Asian Media Academy. He directed 4(four) Short films- Protikkha (The Waiting, 2012), Khela (The Game, 2012), Ekjon Darshoniker Bashay Shoytn O Chor (2013), Bibek (The Conscience, 2014). “Bibek” is granted by Bangladesh Govt.
He was born in 29th November 1976. Farzana Yasmin is his wife and Ophelia Krittika is only daughter. He has accomplished his post-graduation in Information Science and Library Management from the University of Dhaka at 1999 and professionally involved in Librarianship.
